25 Years Later: Spike Lee Confirms "School Daze" Sequel!

Marking it's 25th anniversary in 2013, Spike Lee's celebrated film "School Daze" will have a sequel! The movie which focused on different types of black college students attending an HBCU (historically black college or university) will have a contemporary spin on the classic which focused on issues of class, colorism, education, and pro-blackness at Mission College.

Lee who has confirmed the new project with Black&SexyTV says that he wants fans to embrace what the new project has to offer, “I had the script for ‘School Daze,’” said Lee. “But, what people have to understand is that it’s a contemporary version. So it’s the same school, Mission College, 25 years later,” explains Lee. “Hopefully I can get Laurence Fishburne to play Dap. He’ll be the president now of the school. And we would deal with issues around Historically Black Colleges today.” To celebrate the resurection of the classic peep some of the Mission College Alum from then and now!
